After graduating from Alvirne High School in 1975, he attended Merrimack College in North Andover Mass, where he received his Bachelor's degree in Biology by completing four years in their Pre-Dental program, and graduated Cum Laude in 1979.
After leaving Merrimack College, he attended the Georgetown University School of Dentistry in Washington, D.C., and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1984. Out of a class of 150 students, Dr. LaRocque graduated fifth in his class, the highest ranking student not continuing into a specialized area of dental study. While at Georgetown, he received a scholastic achievement award for ranking first in his class during his sophomore year. He received an additional award from the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons for having the highest degree of proficiency in Oral Surgery during his four years at Georgetown. Further, he was elected by the Faculty to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honors Fraternity.
After passing the Northeast Regional Board exam and State of NH Licensure exam in 1984, Dr. LaRocque began his Dental career by working as an associate dentist for two years before establishing his own practice in 1986, here in Nashua.
Since graduating from Georgetown, Dr. LaRocque has maintained licensure in the State of NH, membership in the American Dental Association, the New Hampshire Dental Society, the Greater Manchester and the Nashua Dental Societies, and the Academy of General Dentistry which is a voluntary continuing education program above and beyond required continuing education required to maintain licensure. Presently, Dr. LaRocque is working on his Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry, which is achieved by obtaining at least another six hundred hours of continuing education in participation courses where study and presentations in all of the disciplines of dentistry is the main focus of the course. He plans on completing this course within the next five years.
Dr. LaRocque is married and has three beautiful children, Brendan, Ryan, and Meredith. He and his wife, Colleen, live in Bedford New Hampshire, enjoy traveling, scuba diving, and the kids.
